Pop-up lights dilemma! PLEASE help

Ok so here's the problem in full.

I did the lit sleepy eye mod in my '92 coupe, but shortly after my pop-ups quit working all together(except for the headlights themselves of course, they work). It was either because i used too small of a gauge wire or they just somehow shorted, either way, i completely took out all the wiring i did, yet the problem continues.

I've checked relays, both by the battery and under the air filter, no success. And when i press the headlight lock button to the left of the steering wheel, i hear a clicking in the relays.

and i am still having trouble. Neither headlamp will go up or down, unless they are manually cranked. any suggestions??

could have shorted?? same thing happen to mine and pretty much the lights had to be manually cranked but would go down just fine. Got new motors at the junkyard. fixed!
