So, new here and like all newbies I suspect, I too have a question I'm hoping to find some help with.

I have a 2007 Missan Murano SE and for about a week now when i press on the accelerator I hear a 'pop' sort of sound, difficult to tell where it's coming from exactly, but it's noticeable and, well somewhat disturbing.

This "pop" happens ONLY when I press on the accelerator, not so much from a stand still, but it's very noticeable when I'm driving the Highway. Was driving home from the long weekend Monday (Some 200kms or so) and whenever I let off the gas and then pressed down on it again I could hear that "pop". And really it's a "pop" noise and not a "Click" or "Rattle" there's on distinct 'Pop' and then nothing after than until I let off the gas and press down on it once again...

Any thoughts or suggestions as to what might be the issue would be greatly appreciated....
