Good day all. I recently joined the forum and asked about LED replacement turn signals (thanks for the warm welcome and the replies). I have ordered a set online I'll let you know how the install goes.

I have a question about intakes I saw a couple recommedations about the POP charger with the heat sheild. I looked at one on Intense's site for $109 (is this a good price, how do we go about getting the discount mentioned on the forum special code word/handshake or is the NICO discount already included in the price?) It did not look like it included any additional parts, is the z tube a separate purchase (how much?). Does the pop charger attach to the factory tube. Level of difficulty to install (I have figured out how to dismantle the rear lights to change the bulbs) that is the extent of my expertise. There was also the suggestion of a spacer, any additional info would be helpful.

Wanted to know also if anyone with an 06 rear wing would be willing to part with it for an 04 rear wing and some cash? I don't like the 04 wing.

I am working on posting some pics 04 silver metallic, wheat AT (because the wife has to drive too) Thanks in advance for the replies.

The Z tube is not included in the price of $109. They are ususally around 50 dollars more. Yes the pop charger will mount to the G tube. The only difference between the G and Z tube is the removal of the sound resonators. You can install the pop charger in about 30 mins.

Thank you RED_DET for the feedback. Will the addition of the Z tube and the pop charger add any HP. I read on some of the posts a gain of 6 HP to the rear wheels with that set up. Or is it possible to leave the exsisting G tube and still have the HP gain. As far as the resonators will this result in a more noisy exhaust note (I think its as loud as I want it to be now) I want to top the car off at 300 HP any advise on how to get there without spending 3-5K superchargers etc, are there any chips available for the G35? My next major mod will be wheels with will put a dent of about 2k in my pocket. So I don't funds to go the forced induction route right now.

Thanks in advance for the replies. Still looking for anyone interested in a trade for an 04 wing and some cash for an 06 wing.

If you do the intake might as well do the Z tube to make it complete. Maybe 1 or 2 hp difference.Add a plenum spacer, and then a decent cat-back exhaust, like the Stillen, and you should be able to round out at 300bhp+ (about 240+ at wheel). Cost, well under 2K. Without the exhaust, you will likely still be pushing a solid 10-14 hp increase.

An ECU flash or piggy-back can run from about $400-900. Jury still out on what's best and how much gain. But I would concentrate on the bolt ons first and see how you like it.

Many claim the grounding cables smooth things out more, and work better with the auto. Relatively cheap and fairly easy upgrade.

Your stock 04 5AT should be running about 220-225 at the wheel right now.

Wow! Why are the autos pulling around 250 whp stock? Definitely goes to prove if you plan on mods, do a base check first. Although the 5ATs are probably pulling a little more power in 3rd.Seems like some folks are pouring in a lot money with little return.

Note they say their setup normally reads 10-15 hp more than the Dyno Jets. But it's the before and after that counts.

Still up in the air about the pop charger and z tube. I did however get and install the LED turn signals front and back. I am waiting for the load resistors to come to instal them. (turn signals are hyper flashing now) indicating burn out since the power draw is so low. They work as they should when the hazards are on though different flasher I'm told. So far I am pleased has a crisp bright blink. Pain the a though to get the front head lights out had to pull the bumper skin. Anyone know of an easier way to get to the front headlights.
