both will not improve much at all unless you need to squeeze last drop of power from the motor.

pop charger (if you are referring to the washable air filter sits right before the throttle) works better at the higher rpm because it will reduce the length of the intake air pathway; meaning low friction; however, becasue it is sucking air from the side of the car, air temp or density will be affected reduced the power gains.

i think pop charger can reduce the torque at the lower band because the resonance that needs to make push the air to the engine might not work well with the shorter pathway; thus, it might give you more power at the high band, but it could also hurt at the lower bank although this is just my thought. the engine sounds is alreay great & loud enough for me, so personally i would go for the cold air

btw, my buddy's hyundai sonata has a cold air intake which is taking air from the grill, and i think it might provide a ram air effect at higher speed.

both system won't provide you noticable difference other than higher intake air noise if you choose pop charger

if you are looking for better acceleration, reduce the weight by removing unnecessary stuffs & perhaps you can loose weight (just kidding )

Thanks for the input...so you're say'n get a cold air instead? You think it has alittle more of an edge over the dirrent power bands? I live down in FL so the air is already pretty hot most of the year..i don't know how much a cold air will do for me. lol oh and i'll hit the treadmill

The CAI is probably going to make the most power out of the two. The really only main concern most have with the CAI is sucking up water because of the filter placement. I wouldn't worry about it because you basically have to submerge the car in water for that to happen. I have a NISMO CAI on my wifes SpecV. No problems at all. She even noticed the difference in power, especially when I took it off to take the car into Nissan for warranty issues. I have the JWT Pop Charger on the G, I'm thinking about selling it and getting a CAI.

RED_DET...you are partially right about the placement of the CAI. But one option would be the Ingen intake which gives you the option of true cold air intake (in the G's case it's placed right in front of the driver's side front wheel behind the bumper) or a "ram air" application. I chose the latter because I had initially planned to add a Vortec super charger and the intake lines up with that air flow path nicely. The ram air version lines the intake up right behind the grill (not unlike the stock set-up). I live in Texas and it gets hotter than heck around here, but I haven't noticed any negative effects with the new intake -- just the opposite, it has been working wonderfully.
