Hi. I've just installed a Pioneer FH-S500BT radio in my 2007 Altima S and the radio reception, both AM and FM, is very poor. The antenna adapter seems to be properly plugged in. I wonder if anyone else has had a problem with an aftermarket stereo? Also, the adapter kit came with only one plug adapter so the smaller plug for the stock radio is not being used. Does anyone know what this plug was for and what effect there might be without it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to NICO Club!

I'm not sure what you're saying about each plug without me being able to see them all. But, the antenna plug is a pretty big plug that goes into the back of the head unit, so you'd know if it was plugged in or not. A smaller plug... I think all should be plugged in. Some of it could be the bluetooth stuff. I've seen adapters that take two factory plugs and pair them into one, but I'm not sure what you have. Can you take any photos? All of the plugs that went into the OEM head unit should go into the Pioneer unit.

Are you using these? "Metra 40-NI12 antenna adapter" "Metra Turbo Wire 71-7552 OEM harness" and or "Metra/Stereo Wiring Harness AW-WHNI2"
