This is the way to go. I work for Goodyear Tire and this old mexican guy I work with takes the tires that are still good(because people like to buy tires when they already have perfectly good ones for some reason) and sells them for 3 or 4 bucks a piece. I've been looking for a good set of 205/60/15s myself for a while now for my fronts, haven't found any yet. Just go to a tire place after they close and try to sneek a good set of tires that are still decent. They honestly wouldn't care if they caught you on camera or somthing, but be sneaky about it anyways.jdm_griffin wrote:dude your better off going to your local Les Schwab and stealing tires from their dumpster.
#1 because i had just moved in about a month ago and still haven't quite adjusted to the bill yet and #2 last year I had been doin frame work and was traveling from shop to my scheduled inspection station and got pulled over and got 1 point for an uninspected car, currently I have 6 points, which had just dropped down 2 from the 8 i had (6 being the greatest number of points without losing my license) So free tires with a bigger aspect ratio for a little while and be able to drive, over $300+ dollars for tires and the $200+ in labor to get new upgrades done to my car. that $500 or so is more than just the labor to pay the mechanic to do the work to my car while I'm bustin my azz at my job. if i had the time I'd do it my self plus the mechanic is a good friend, thought I'd help him out in the process... wow i guess i like to rant as well, sancosys wrote:Ok I know nothing about PA laws but if you could answer me these
I currently moved into an apartment and now need tires for inspection.
Do you not have tires at the moment or just in bad condition?
I can't afford another point to my license.
Why would said situation get a point on you license?
ok thats all Thanks
yeah i saw that to day. Oh well, looks like Imma have myself a jacked up reartheclub wrote:I have 205/60/15 up front and 205/65/15 in the back, the 65 will rub if you use them for fronts. The difference is .8 of an inch dia. theres lots of room on the back so 70 series sould be fine for rear tires.
