Yes
1. slow down. the faster you drive, the more gas you burn. At 80 mph, you not only risk a ticket, you burn more gas. 31 mpg at those speeds is very good. I understand that a courier delivers time sensitive materials, but just slowing down to 70 mph could net you up to 5 more mpg. Slowing 65 mph, even more more.
2. Carry only what you really need in the car. Keep the tool kit in the garage. EPA says an extra 100 pounds could cost you 1-2% in gas mileage.
3. if you have a roof rack, remove it. kills gas mileage
4. don't remote start your car and let it warm up, or let it idle while you make deliveries. Pure gas waster.
5. Fill up your car early in the morning or at night, especially in warm climates. Gasoline expands when it warms up and is more dense when cooler.
