poor fuel economy

Sorry I had to write again,

Last time I wrote you told me about a possible bad intake gasket at the #4 cylinder.

I have a 93 Alty and get veruy poor mileage. Done a lot already....tune up, O2 & Cool. Temp. Sensors, Fuel filter.

The only improvement I noticed was after a fuel injection purge (cleaning). But it has gone back to poor mileage.

PS. I also noticed quite a bit of exhaust coming out of the muffler when the car is at idle ( but the rpm's are normal, about 700-ish). Not like a regular car, but mine sems to be pushing it out about 2-3 feet. If that's a hint at all.......

oh,

it's normal exhaust ( white, but it's winter time now). I just thought the pressure in the exhaust might have given you a hint on what the problem could be.... ps: I will get that intake gasket checked
