poor fuel economy on 06 M35x

Guys

Any ideas on the reason for poor gas mileage of 06 m35x? mine has 184k+ miles and recently it started giving me poor gas mileage (13.8) in mostly city driving and barely 20 mpg highway.

Any reason why that could be besides the fact that the engine has high mileage ?

The most likely cause is using winter-formula fuel, if you live in an area that gets cold around this time.
If you'd like, there are a few threads on fuel economy around, but you'll find that generally everyone's takes a dip around this time.


*20-ish mpg with mostly city driving, that's pretty good in my book.What do you typically get during the rest of the year?

The best i could get is 16 mpg with mixed driving.
