Hey everyone. I have a base 2006 M35 that I got from a friend, loving it. It has 180K miles on it and it's doing well, but has a slight oil seepage issue that I'm holding off on addressing as I save up money...

ANYWAY...

I'm struggling with the FM Radio reception, it really sucks. Stations are crackly, but a little better when I'm closer to where the towers are. When I play a CD, the sound system rocks.

Any thoughts on why the FM reception is so bad, something I can check? I'm not aware of any back window maintenance being done on it...

Hmm...perhaps the antenna connection on the back of the radio is somewhat loose? Maybe try pulling the radio and reseat all of the connections. There are guides in the HowTo section on how to get to it.

I have 2008 and the reception is crap here too. I drive two other vehicles along the same path and never a crsckle. When i drive this, its hell trying to listen to the station.
