poor acceleration

i have a '94 G20 with 148,000mi. the engine runs great at hiway speed but take off and low speed acceleration is very poor i installed a new air filter (OEM) but that is all any ideas?

have you tried doing a full tune up latly?

If this occured after putting the filter in check your intake tube between the air filter and throttle body. Make sure you didnt knock it loose from either end or knock a vaccum line off. Also the air flow meter harness around those years had issues where they would loose a good ground. If you got a volt meter check to see that the ground circuit is dropping no more then .02v. if its higher run an ADDITIONAL ground. piggy back it with the existing ground at the air flow meter and attach it to your intake manifold.

what and where is the air flow meter. I did change plugs, fuel filter, rotor without much improvement in take off. Maybe timing???

the airflow meter is attached to the box the air filter goes in.the airflow meter is the part the has the boot coming off the other side of it.

added ground wire from air flow meter to intake. much improvement. take off is much better when engine is warmed up. am thinking about CAI. any ideas???

It will give you a little improvement in HP but nothing to get excited about.

So the added ground resolved your initial problem?

the ground wire really helped I will know more when things get heated up a little more thankx for all your help
