They chase people here and if there is a decent chance they will catch you they will try. If it's just a situation where you are in a 400hp or more car with open road in front of you they will break off. I've been chased a few times when I was racing, never caught though. The expressway here is not like mainland though. There is only one and it only has like 12 or so exits that are usually backed up so if they chase you there you are boxed-in. I am pretty good at spotting the unmarked cars though. I taunt them sometimes; run up on them, stop right next to them, wave, ease in behind them and smile to them as they scowl at me in the mirrors. I don't have to wait long though, some mainland dip**** will zip by in a rental, they will sneak up behind them, pace them for about a kilometer then the cherry pops out of the roof and the take em down. I always make sure to give them a little BOV and a wave as I pass by on my way back up to cruising speed. They hate me.

So i'm guessing they don't have our road rules were, in Western Australia, that'd be considered Hoon behaviour, they'd write your plate down, and come and visit you the next day with a tow truck.

All the times I have run I have been too far ahead of them when they announced themselves for them to get my plate #. I can't beleive they wouldn't come after you if they had the plate. The Diet is pushing through stricter road laws recently so it might start to suck here pretty soon. I haven't been out looking for trouble in a good long while but it looks like all the spots where people used to congregate to race and drift are dead. Most of the guys I ran with are getting laid back and don't rip around like they used to. It's still infinately better than the U.S. and Australia but 10-years ago it was damned near anarchy and fun as hell.

Ok, I made an insert for the glove compartment. I used expanding foam insulation spray to fill the dead space and cut out slots for the electronics and gauge. I made a chassis out of thin sheet metal pop riveted together and covered with a faceplate of foam board wrapped in vinyl. Unfortunately my rollcage made it necessary to hack a corner off of the glove compartment just so the damned thing would open and it causes the whole thing to hang open crooked. It works though and I now have a DIN-sized space in the center console I can use for my injection pulse monitor and boost controller. What you see in the glove compartment is an exhaust temp meter I dropped in just to fill the hole, I'm not sure which gauge I will actually put in there. On the right is the VPC which I use to eliminate the MAF sensor and run the engine off the speed density signal and it's GCC unit to fine tune specific RPM ranges. Next to it is my AIC which will soon control four subinjectors to support my dinky 370cc OE ones; it's GCC is above it and does the same thing as the other GCC, fine tune specific RPM ranges. My next project is to get teh subs mounted on another manifold I have that already has an SR20DE S14 60mm throttlebody. After that is done and installed with a second set of 370cc injectors I will feel comfortable changing out the .40 kilogram wastegate spring and see if I can get the boost up to 1kilo and shoot for 300hp.

Well I think it's only like 180hp at the moment with the boost at 0.4k but I just bitchslapped a farty little Integra with it; I even let him run a bit.

thats awesome mike I upgraded to a top mounted turbo not too long ago myself. I just need some bigger injectors (I'm still on 460cc dsm ones) and a better tune...
