I am replacing the clutch and with it, the transmission mount...

Does anyone have experience with this type of mount

Which looks nothing like the OEM mount. :wtf2: I do not know how that is geting hyperlinked; pay no attention to that linked image this is the OEM part:Image

e.g. how much more noise should I expect and will it make other parts wear out faster?

*edit*

Well, now the "OEM part" is not hyper-linking... so... If it does again just compare the images shown..

Thanks in advance.

Unless you plan to replace the motor mounts with urethane I'd stick to the stock rubber mount. With stock rubber motor mounts you'll be putting a lot of wear on the urethane trans mount.

A fellow citizen of Louavull!!!

I really thought it would be hard on the rubber engine mounts and not the other way around...

..but, I'll order the engine mounts too.

Thanks!

The trans mount is double isolated, you don't have to worry about matching sets of stuff just because... you should replace them because those are floppy too

Well, I did it and I do not like it...

It makes the whole car buzz with vibration... I'm going to order an OEM mount and replace this.

It looks like rain tomorrow and I don't drive her in the rain..

She's a class 2 historic vehicle and has not seen rain in 10 years.

I'll look for future dates.
