Which would be the best to go with? I like the price and ease of doing the whole trailing arm but I don't want to do it twice. Has anyone had to do the bushings again after installing the Dorman replacements? I searched for a definitive answer but couldn't find one.
Also, is there any difference between the red and black poly bushings 4x4parts offers, other than the red ones already being split? Is there any difference in durometer?

nope, the red ones are just easier to install. Personally, even though its a bit more work, i would take the poly bushings over the complete trailing arms any day, because not only does it alleviate your wobble problem for the rest of your vehicles lifetime, it stiffens the back end and makes the vehicle handle a bit better. Though dont expect small car handling.

Cool. I was actually surprised how much the qx4 handles like a car(compared to my Mom's Olds Bravada) and could deal with the death sway before, but I had a hairy situation with it in the snow. Also, my toddler makes fun of it when it starts swaying. Did you just replace the lower bushings or all eight?

well, the death sway is mostly caused by the lower arms, but to replace the lower ones, you will need new bolts, and 4x4parts only sells them for all 4 trailing arms. The bushings are kinda expensive, in my opinion, so i am planning to buy one, then use the measurements to get the rest from

i am pretty sure the bushings they provide are from one of the polyurethane bushing companies, but they wont post the part numbers (understandable), so this will be a cheaper alternative i will try when i get the death sway.

They are running a racket on the bushings, and I don't like how they dont offer a full kit for all 4 links + panhard. Closest one to the trailing arm links from Energy Suspension is the 9.9485; bushing I.D. is right but I'm trying to find the OE specs for inner sleeve length and I.D.

lol they are, but think from their perspective, no company offers direct poly bushings for us, so they have to research to get the exact ones from the universal bushing specs and try it out.
