hey guys, i just received my energy suspension master set. im kind of confused on a few of them...for instance the front strut rod bushings....this may sound bad but where the hell do they go? it just didnt look like it would fit anywhere...i didnt really have time or light to look today cuz i had work, so hopefully tomorow i can clear things up.....if anyone has any firsthand experience installing them or anything let me know.....thanx soooo much.....

PS its a 1990 hatch........

Are they round like the size of a softball or small like a golfball. The small ones go between the shock top and the metal casing. The bigger goes between the strut mounting plate and the chassis. Both are located at the top of the front struts and also the rear

theyre kind of round but not like a ball, but they are kind of bigtoo.......do they have to be pressed in to the front strut/coilover?..... or do they just go in when u put the new stuff in?

Are they like a donut,,, they may go on the strut rod to act as a bumpstop/ Just installed new springs today and the only bushings were that and the where the strut mounts to the strut tower

yea it is kinda like a donut....with a metal piece in the middle.....it doesnt look wide enough to actually go on the strut rod...thats why i dont know where i have to get it pressed into.......

could it be the T/C rod bushing? it's a rod that links the control arm to frame (i think), if you follow it to where it bolts to the frame (look around near the motor mounts if I remember correctlyl) you should see a nice size bushing that sounds like what you are describing. If they are old they will be cracked and probably oozing with goo.

If those are the ones you are talking about you have to get them pressed in. any shop with a hydraulic press should be able to do it.

Just got mine too. Yea seems like its missing things, but i went through, its all there. Kind of a waste for me tho. None of the website listed what was in em, so i just ordered it. I already did the TC rod bushings, and i have no rear sway.

Im about to go to my garage and start putting em in, ill let you know if i notice a difference.

Oh, anyone wanna trade a stock rear sway bar or a set of TC rod bushings? haha

Cyberauto lists the kit components as this:

Kit Includes: front control arm bushings, front strut rod bushings, front and rear sway bar bushings, and tie rod end boots.

I thought it would include some bushings for the rear other than sways, I am thinking I still need to get some other bushings for rear components..any insight from you knowledgeable folks?

I got mine for $69 off of Ebay

here is energys page. scroll down to see the kit contents.

it has listed rear subframe insert. i called several months ago and they said they were still waiting for the rear insert. i guess they finally got them.

warning thread hijacking in progress - anyone know who makes a D-bushing for the 21mm rear sway bar for hicas cars???

Well, from their site it looks like I got a partial kit, I have no rear suspension bushings at all I think, nor can I identify any rack and pinion bushings. I am kinda pissed and will be contacting the vendor, but doubt anything can be done, I wonder if I can just buy what I am missing? Anyone have a complete kit and if so where did you get it and for how much, I am interested in this for a 96 240sx
