Hey Guys,

Come across this thread and was wondering if anyone had some advice. I found a JDM complete (no tranny) in Toronto at "Tiger Jap Auto Parts" with so called, less than 40k miles for $750.00, so I bought it. It is supposed to be a '93 engine and I'm putting it into a 1990 (my sig. picture) , both engines are NA and car has A/T. I am prolly going to replace the main harness while the engine is out to elimate any ghosts that mite be in the system.

I live where there is no enforced restrictions on polution crap, at least that are not governed yet.

Questions:
- What all can I eliminate, plug off, etc, like egr, while the engine is out of the bay to make a NA run a little better?
- Would it be a good idea to send the ECU away to have it re-mapped for this so called '93 motor going into a '90 chasis?

Thanks, Jim

As far as the ecu, if you are not doing any major upgrades, ie intake, injectors, exhaust, then you won't need it remapped.
