since i have no experience with the all-trac, i'd have to say the eagle talon.

that is, until im a little more knowledgable about the all-trac. then i may change opinions.

Yeah, a completely torquless, FWD, over-glorified Civic is better than a 200+hp (WITH a power band), AWD, 3SGTE-Powered Celica? :rolleyes

the 3s-gte powered celica wasn't available here was it? I thought it was just the older generation celicas the one with the flip up lights, not the 4 headlights that were available here.

its still a 4 banger. stop actin like these motors have real torque.

ever rode in a viper? thats torque.

and an ITR isnt a civic.

Reliability wise the ITR or the all trac. DSM's are nice if you can keep them running, but usually you can't. My money is on the all trac, but good luck finding one.

I'd take a 2001 Type R as my first choice. Comparing cars of the same year... the All Trac for sure

Yeah, but it's not torque at the crank that matters. Ultimately, if a car can put down as much torque at the wheels as another, the it is accelerating at the same rate. With these high RPM motors, they can use shorter gears to take advantage of torque multiplication(leverage) and acheive similar torque levels with gearing that reaches about the same speeds at redline. This is why HP is the important number to look at when determining how fast a car will be.

I'd love to have an all-trac, BUT realistically, the ITR. By this I mean that the celica will be VERY nice to drive, but not to own. I think anyone who's owned a rare car will agree w/ me on this one, 'cause finding parts will be a PIA. I'm not talking about motor parts 'cause those shouldn't be a problem. I'm talking about the AWD components that should be going out right about now (it's old, remember?)Although as a person who isn't too keen on hondas/acuras and/or FWD cars, I'd have to say the ITR would be my choice of owning and MAINTAINING one of these cars. (and no, I wouldn't rice it out. . . lol)

ITR hands down even if those cars were brand spankin new.

I see that alot of you guys bash on the honda, but have you guys ever driven a Type-R? Hands down outrun any of those cars mentioned on a track. There is some justification as to why its a special model. Even tho I love the All-trac the low HP rating was just not matching its heft.

I used to think All-Tracs were cool until I saw one in person.

Type R, with the DSM being a close second.

Guess you got stuck with us losers, huh?:rolleyes

j/k!

The DSM first (with a spare AWD parts car)and the ITR as a close second. I use to hate FWD cars until I rode in a mildly modded Tegra. It's one of Honda's stand out cars and the top-end is pretty impressive!
