Pretty simple. I love my g35 but alas I will have a tough decision when I decide to replace the g35 with another vehicle in 3-4 years.

Noted that gas prices had jumped to nearly $6 in one CA community this week. I suspect that prices will be >$4 this summer and that by the time the new G comes out, many of us will have our decision made by economics and practicality. I saw very few G type cars when I was in Europe, South America or anywhere outside the US, so it may be our future. >5 years of record prices starting just this year may change our cultural view on speed, image and power, hate it as we may.

There will probably be kits to convert cars to run off ethanol. They are already advertising kits to convert diesels into bio diesels and others to add hybrid technology to daily drivers. Either way i live close to work. I fill up and it lasts me 2 weeks.

I plan to upgrade in the fall to an '09 FX50. I need the room of an SUV and the EX is just too small interior wise (but I like the EX).

I have learned over the last three years that I am just not a sports car kind of guy. I have a CLS as well and I tend to drive that more during the week anyway.

I will probably sell the G coupe to my cousin as he is turning 19 and REALLY is on my a$$ to get it so my uncle said call him when I am ready to part with it.

No matter what I WILL ALWAYS drive an Infinti! The next one will make Infiniti #6. I have loved the line since the first Q rolled out in 1990.

I like the Murano as well but I just can't get myself to give up all of the goodies and perks of the Infiniti dealership.

Bought my 06 G35 coupe in Dec with 12K miles. Had an "IN" at a dealership for the G37 at VVP pricing. I liked the interior and nav of the G37 but I LOVE the styling of the G35 coupe. I also did not like the wheels on the G37.

I compared the $26,000 to the $40,000 and the choice became crystal clear.

When they have a 400+HP option, I may trade in my G35...we'll see.

I just like the g35 styling vs g37. The g37's rear end just don't do it for me...to rounded looking. I'll just drive mine until 200k and then get something else. Maybe a horse with gas prices so high haha!!

In terms of looks, the G-35 still sends electric shocks through my spines and marrow. The G-37 has failed to induce the same feelings, eventhough Infiniti claimed that it will grow un us. It hasn't! Ugly car!

In terms of electronic gizmos, a fully loaded G-37 beats the G-35 hands down. In terms of braking and handling, the G-37 beats the G-35 hands down.

However, in terms of the mix of looks, handling, braking, excitement, electronics, etc, the G-35 actually beats the G-37.

The G-35 is like a little brother that always needs to be chastised, while the G-37 is like the older brother that is matured, calm, and goal-oriented.

The G-35 feels more peppy and willing to be dogged out than the G-37. The G-37 is too refined for my liking. I am not in the market for any refined car. I hate refined cars---they are too dull to drive.

I'll look for you on my next drive to Florida. How far are you from the Smithfield, NC outlet mall. Wife likes to stop there to waste 2 hours

I like the front end of the G37 much more than the 35, but the rear end needs help. What's up with that stupid little chrome lip?

With the exception of the interior and the front end, the g37 just does not do it for me. I traded in my 04 coupe last month because my dealership happened to have one last 07 coupe left on the lot.

Telcoman:

Yes, I have flogged the G-37, I and the sales man who allowed me to go on a test drive. The guy was enjoying the test drive so much so that he forgot I was supposed to be the one test driving the G-37.

Anyway, I would sya that the gear box of the G-37 Coupe is so good that I am of the belief that it can handle 450 horspower quite easily. The gear box seemed to be of greater capacity than the engine. +1 for G-37 coupe 6MT. If it were possible, I would love to mate the gear box of the G-37 Coupe 6MT to the engine of the G-35 coupe 6MT. And then, the shift knob is so impressive with even a shorter shifter than the G-35 Coupe. The G-37 Coupe 6MT needs a twin turbo, and not a supercharger. A supercharger will still be well below the gear box's capacity. Engine is already dull with the gear box. Gear box needs serious umph to come alive and the HR engine isn't providing that umph for the manual transmission G-37 Coupe.

However, the G-37 Coupe auto was unbelievably perfect. Engine and transmission were married like a couple in wedded bliss. Perfect matching of transmission and engine, and the response of the car told the whole story---unbeleivable acceleration that never seemed to end---loved the noise and swoosh of the swirl technology. However, if anyone wants power with in the auto version, I suggest limiting it to a supercharger.

This is just my personal evaluation of what I feel the auto and transmission versions can do.

Yes, yes, yes. I could flog that one. But I think I could get tired and burnt out trying. Anyone wonder why bikers tempt fate on the roads?

Jacko,

You can get the same boost pressure out of a Supercharger that you would out of a TT
