I'm feelin a bit down cuz i see so many of you guys gettin/have the 3.5. I have a 2.5 and recently i've felt a decrease in power to the throttle. Right now i have around 2300 miles on it and will be gettin an oil change soon, prolly a bit earlier than 3k. Hoping that mebbe it'll free up the throttle a bit and return some power to mi car.

This is pretty much the reason i feel like i shoulda gotten the 3.5, but i'm def not looking forward to paying for that mileage, lol.. yet. Mebbe in a few years, if i really feel that it's needed, i'd trade this 2.5 in for a 3.5 or give this to mi mom and get the 3.5 later..

Select wat u got in the poll cuz i wanna see how many of ya are ridin in what.. and please post some responses.. mebbe if you know of something i can do to increase power to the car, will the oil change work?

BTW, i think it might hav been due to me running it hard.. (like late shifts when in manual mode.. 3.5 - to almost 5 k).. and pressing the gas, letting go and pressing it a lil harder to give it a kick..

WHen i press the gas pedal, there is a lag in the response rate for the speed to kick in.. something noticeable, def not how it was during the first week i had it from the dealership..

THankss.. and sorry for the long msg.

If that kind of lag in throttle response is clearly noticable, then bring your car into the dealer and ask them to check it out. An oil change is not going to improve your throttle response. If your engine was struggling due to improper lubrication, it more then likely would have seized by now.

I have the 2.5 CVT, and it does this too. Its not too bad, but it seems like the transmissions didn't change gear ratios from when you were cruising and coming to a stop.

I haven't had any such issue with mine but I agree with mikey, take it to the dealer.

I can say I am happy with my 2.5 MT Of course it would be nice to have the 3.5 and it's power but for me I didnt want to fork up that much money. I had the same 2.5 motor in my 02 Nissan SpecV so I expected nothing more from this car

, but luckily, we still have the hubby's C5 Z05 with 519rwhp & 503rwtq for the weekends. So, I don't mind my A/C with the CVT for my daily commutes. It is a fun lil ride and she is very good to me in the looks department! Just a gorgeous lil car.

I have to be a little practical sometimes! lol...

So much ugly looks.

I see more Corvettes on the road in Edmonton than I do Altima Coupes.

That has to be wrong. No way a stock 270hp car with 3600 pounds of weight is pulling 5.2. Sorry, just not possible. The 350 HR isn't even pulling those numbers with just a driver and 6 speed
