ok so most ppl know by now that a took a saw to my rear diffuser and cut off 2 fins and put 4 massive exhaust tips on my custom exhaust. i plan to put the 2 fins back on later and paint the rear diffuser a gloss black instead of flat black (to match the trim on my stillen front fascia). i'm not planning on doing this anytime soon but i will eventually do it for sure. so i need to know which looks better, just adding the fins or adding the fins and making them longer as well as part of the bumper longer.

this is how it looks now

and here are some "paint" edited photos lol

option 1: add the fins and call it quits

option 2: extend the fins and bumper

theirs cons to each one in my opinion so i want to try and get the lesser of two evils. if i just add the fins, the exhaust tips are massive and it may not look right having the exhaust tips hang lower then the diffuser.

if i extend the fins and bumper, not only is it more work and money but also, it kind of looks like i'm "trying too hard" or like i'm "doing too much". its not just simple and flowing all together...

I know what ur trying to do with the extending fins and bumper, but if not done exactly right, with the right angles, I think you will take away from the rear end... to be honest, the main thing I hate about the ED rear bumper is the way it looks like a box from the rear... it takes away from the sexy angles of the car...

now that I have taken off my Extreme Dimensions Gt concept bumper and went back to the factory bumper, I am NEVER changing my rear bumper ever again... looks great the way it is...

my vote is, if you add the fins, don't try and extend the rear bumper!my .03

ya thats what i was thinking. it takes away from the angles, looks like i'm trying too hard, just sort of out of place.

I voted for adding fins and extending the bumper. But I think if you do that, you should try and have the corners of the bumper curve in somewhat to follow that line from the taillights down.

Although I'm not sure it's worth the money to do that, and if you decide it's not, definitely just add the fins. I know that doesn't really help much, but if you want to make the bumper flow with your exhaust tips I think that's the way to go, shouldn't be too complicated following that line.

Great job on paint btw, didn't think that program could match up as well as it did

i agree with extending the fins. if you could make it look like you do in the photoshop and pull it off so it flows well with the rest of the car, i think itll be the best looking bumper on a coupe. especially if you have the quad setup why not make it look more aggressive. still looks stock but itll make people look twice.

I voted just the fins, your exhausts are more pronunced and visable. Wouldn't you hide them if you extend the bumper?

He wouldn't be hiding them he would just be putting a border around them. Since the tips are so large they hang lower than the diffuser and the bumper.
