I'm really not and many here might disagree with you. There are others here that seem to have more free time on their hands to follow politics.

To tell you guys the truth, I kind of hate politics. I'm neutral in every way. I just dont like to get involved. I know a little about government, enough to pretend like I know what I'm reading/listening to/writing about. But I have an issue right know that someone could maybe help me with. My wife is Honduran. And Honduras right now is in a crisis from what I know. I was reading and finally found some pages in english.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200...utionCould someone translate this into a less political way for me? My wife (who is in Honduras until the winter) is worried about whats going on, schools have closed, workplaces have been closing, even church has been cancellations. From what I understand, the President is a Dbag who wants to rule the country like Hugo Chavez is, and is excercising more power than he actually has. But I dont understand much else. I'm going in exactly 4 weeks to spend a week and a half with my wife, and dont know if I should be worried about political turmoil. Its bad enough going and worrying about getting robbed/shot/kidnapped/etc. I usually sleep with one eye and ear open when I'm there and try to stay in areas tourists would stay in. Its pretty bad as far as crime, poverty, and instability goes. I want to know how serious these current events are and If I have to worry about martial law going into effect while I'm there and end up looking for refuge in the US embassy or something. Well thanks in advance for any help and explaining you guys do. [/QUOTE]
I have a co worker who is from Honduras and speaks fluent spanish. I'll get back to you.
