the powder coat will hold up to the heat? the powder coating place that we have where i live says it only holds up to 400 degrees. how hot does the compressor housing get?

When I was younger and had minimal cash for beers, I was a Bush guy. I have since sworn off cans though...so cheap beer doesn't work out for me so well.

Lol, man thats another thing i need to buy ! Damn you wd....

I dont really get your whole anti can thing.. The metal taste will still be there in 80 percent of beers because they are brewed in metal tanks. Now if your a purist i could see it, for instance only drinking beers like the ol latrobe, aka Rolling Rock(one of my fav beers).

The brake cleaner is a good idea. Iv found that you can just buff it off with a clean disk or something though. If its in a hard to reach spot ill try it.

Powder coating would hold up fine on a compressor housing. The housing wont get over 400d, you gotta think.. Its air cooled... lol.

ITS LOOKIN SO FKING GOOD! Dude its one thing to start a polishing project and know what you want your end result to be. Its a whole other world when you start to get the mirror finish though, man, lota hard work to get there and its startin to pay off. Im pretty much done with the course grit now, and am going to hold off on the next two grits. Theres a few other ways i wana spend my weekend, so for now im putting it off till later. I can do that any time at all, ill prly finish it early next week.

I still dont have the tool i want. The die grinder we had was a cheapie, and was worn out so much that the shaft had 3-5mm of play in it or more. It was wobbling so much when it spun i wasnt getting an even polish, it was jumping around. So i bought another cheapie(14$), harbor freight, but my inline adjustable air restrictor wont let me reduce the flow of air enough.. The damn thing spins way to fast, and is heating up the polish which isnt what you want. Trying to get 3000 rpms, with a tool thats designed to work in the 17000-22000 range. Ill manage

Heres how it looks. The oil on my hands is pretty much the only thing that keeps it from uniformly reflecting the light. Shoulda bought some micro fiber cloths when i was up at harbor freight..
