The whole process took 3hrs but here's what lead me to it.I tried painting the emblem and it came out terrible and I mean terrible like poop with no form. After that I decided to take it to school and scrape all the paint off then sandblast it.After I sandblasted it my teacher gave me sandpaper grits:320,400,600 and showed me how to sand it down.I only sanded down the Infiniti part only not the background. Then today my teacher brought his polishing equipment and then the fun began. He showed me how to do it and the part he did was like WOAH!!! Then I tried and it wasn't as good. I had to keep sanding it down with the 600 to get as many scratches off or leveled as possible. After I got them leveled and and smooth I started polishing. The polishing had two steps which I dunno what the thing he put on the wheel were but once was for hard metal and the other polishing component.I ended up polishing part of the background on accident so I decided to polish the whole thing instead. It doesn't look as good as it does on the picture, well atleast the background doesn't.Well have fun and enjoy.

Wasted no money all free.Still waiting to get some for my knocks.

The front once looked like this after sandblasted:

So now who thinks I should paint the back white and leave the rest polished or just leave the entire thing polished?

No one but the double sided tape sees the back.

But some of your pictures are a little to exposed.

But if you could get your Infiniti (MT. Fuji) polished aluminum like this:

But leave the background untouched.

Not sure about white but it could look nice with a painted background. How do you get the emblem out of the plenum? I tried to pry it out once but was worried I would mess it up. What holds it in?

Just pry it.Get a flat head slide it under and push up.

Paul that's what I tried.I was gonna keep the sandblasted part gray but the polish got on it so I had no choice.Any suggestions on a color I should paint it?

Neon orange?White?Black?Blue? Maybe gray?

I was thinking black for a background but gray might be a little "classier"

If you just want to reblast it, I would tape up the polished part you want to keep and re-sandblast the background.

I am all about stock or polished aluminum, because with polished aluminum it does'nt looks better and does'nt draw attention away.
