While I was waiting for my kit to arrive from Touge Factory. I polished up my spare intake manifold. Tell me what you guys think. I dont know if I should put it on yet because a local shop might be sponsoring me a front facing intake manifold.

Fixed my frontend as well, just awaiting to install my 50mm rear and its ready for paint:)

In my dilemma of putting it on or not, I just threw it on E-Bay to see if anybody would want it. If nobody wanted it, Ill just put it on my car in the meantime for the bling factor

Looks uber good. How did you do it?

I polished my RB26 upper charge pipe (see avatar).. took forever! Lots of sandpaper and wrist strain. :P

At first, I tried sanding it down by hand as well. Didnt work too well, so I went and bought a mouse sander from Wal-Mart. Very helpful little thing.

DAMN! Thats freaking sexy. Can you give me a run down as to what you had to do to get that diamond in the ruff. I guess I'm going to get a mouse sander. But what grid sand papers? Again great work on the manifold.

Work yourself from 80 grit to anywhere to 2000 grit to get rid of the fine scratches. Then use buffing compound, then final stage of polishing.

If you dont want to keep your car apart for a long time, then I dont suggest you doing it. Its a long process that requires a lot of knitpicking and detailing.

well are you gonna tell me how long it took? or are you gonna asume that I meant I dont like having it apart for an hour. I just wouldnt do it if it took more than 3 days or something like that

Sorry, didnt mean to be so vague. It took me around 5 days on and off, didnt have time to work on it all the time. Hours put it would approixmately (guessing) 10 hours.

So I guess you can do it in a day or two if you have time?

I saw that.. but I decided not to point it out because I wasn't sure. haha.

Ya'll's, this is something you'd want to do while your engine is out.. or while the vehicle is sitting for a while. It's time consuming and tedious as hell.
