my friend and i got off work tonight at the same time and are on our way home, and he always tries to get me to race. ( he drives a green grand prix) well, we are cruisin along at maybe 50 on an open stretch of road and i drop it into 4th and push a couple car lengths ahead of him to maybe 85 to let him know i would kick his ***, and then slow down, but he keeps going and gets a long ways ahead of me, well, i catch up and we get to a residential area going the speed limit, and i look in my review and see cop lights. 2 pairs of them. i think o sh*t, they got me, im screwed. we just keep going waiting on them to pull us over. but no, the first cop passes me and keeps going, lights flashing, siren blazing. then the second one, and relief washed over me. i thought i was gone crap my pants i was so scared.

Relax dude, they ain't gonna bite you!

Most of the time when i get pulled over, its some redneck who can't even spell or put correct dates on the ticket, messes up his own court dates. dumb as hell.

Unless youre under the influence of or driving without insurance and/or lisence, you shouldn't be scared. Just let it flow. And treat them respectfully.Well, actually you gotta see what kind of cop you're talking to.

Even if you dont have a lisence (at all), they may let you slip with a promise of getting it fixed ASAP. But don't do this at home.

Yeah, I've had that happen before. Lights come on, pants fill up, and then they go flying past you. Wonderful feeling, isn't it?

Driving through Lousiana recently a sheriff's deputy pulled up behind me and started tailgating so I though "Oh ****, he's interested" I was driving long range and had cruise control set to about 3mph over limit. So I thought maybe I had the misfortune of catching the eye of a cop in a bad mood. However he continued to tailgate me for a some time. So I decided to move into the left lane and sure enough he just went on by. Then proceeded to tailgate the next motorist then exited the freeway. Guess he didn't want to pass in the left lane for fear of losing his exit.

man, just this past weekend i was goint ot my girlfriends house and i arrive at a four way stop in a residential neighborhood, and as i take a left i powered over a bit and continued on down the road, well halfway down that road (at night) i see flashing lights and a spotlight gaining on me fast. So i'm thinking this is all i need, i dont have insurance or registration.

so i pull off to the right side of the road and all of a sudden a crotch rocket goes flying past me and the cop tailing him. I was like damn, i've never seen a bike try to get awya from a cop in real life.

i wonder if he caught him. i'll never know, he was probably heading for the highway

... oh well just thought i'd share

hahaha, i get scares all the time, seeing as i am driving an illegaly modified vehicle. One time when i was mergeing onto the highway, i was boosting in 4th and shifted to fifth and in the reflection of the car beside me i could see that i had just pooped a huge flame. then in my rearveiw i notice the blue lights go on and they start catching up quick. so i just hold my 60mph i was doing and he flies right past.

Our cars are so loud they usually hear us but don't have an accurate estimation of speed. They will follow you waiting for something stupid or hoping the car is stolen. I have soilded many a boxer before I learned that from a cop friend.

For real...that's got to be an instant classic.lol. I'm the most paranoid person ever when it comes to the po'. Maybe because I got pulled three times within a year.

Scared the crap out of me too last night.... Friend just got a $302 ticket 3 hrs before. I'm driving to a party which isn't going to officially start till I show up. Reason: I have all the liquor. Got bottle of jack, captain morgan, jager, bacardi 151, vodka, and bottle of good ol' Crown. I set my cruise control to make sure I wouldn't F^. I had 3 different cops swich off on me. One would pull up behind me tail me for a mnute then turn off and immediately another would pull up behind me. Then they stopped playign with me and there's a road block setup. Got through without any problems they never suspected my *clothes bag* to be containing anything else.

when i was in my 2nd year of college, on my way home for the weekend, there was this long long stretch of highway that I was messing around on. This is also when I still have my red 91 240sx. I punched the gas and rode 110mph for about 3 min till it comes to a town with a overpass bridge and off ramp. Maybe about 100 yards from the bridge, I slowed back down to the speed limit. As I pass the offramp, a PO with his lights flashing came onto the off ramp towards me. I thought to myself "Oh Sh*t... I just F**ked my self over." I was in the left lane and he pulls right behind me. There was a car to the right of me so I slowly passed the car so I could pull over on the shoulder. As I switched to the right lane, and started going onto the shoulder, the PO passed me on the left lane and continued. I swear, my pants were all ready for a good wett'n too.

Last night I was pulled over twice in about an hours. First time was for rolling through a red light right turn. The cop actually thought I was drunk when he first started talking to me. When he realized I hadn't had anything to drink yet (it was 10:30) he just let me go. Then about an hour later I was going 42 in a 25 so I got pulled over again. This time he just checked if all my papers were ok and let me off with a warning. I think they were just looking for drunk drivers but I was still really not happy getting pulled over for the second time.

You are lucky man. The light thing is kinda bull because there isn't much traffic so no harm done and if there was well then you get screwed on insurance. 2nd one you are lucky you didn't get a ticket. Guess he was wanting the bigger DUI fish than $143 speeding ticket.

I like Japanese Police.

They pull me over, they don't see a Y-plate so when they come up to the car and see my goofy Gaijin *** they get confused

"uh, you speek Japaneze"?

"what"?

"you speek Japaneze"?

"you spank bacon grease, what"?

"mo, uh GO HOME"!

"Ah wakeru, gomen ne" Screeeeech!!!!

Most of them speak english but it;s just enough of a PIA that they say screw it and let you go. One stopped me and spoke fluent English so I started speaking the twelve German words I knew He went blank and told me to "go home"

Having police tailgate you is one of the most unsettling things I can think of. My friends and I have almost had accidents while police were tailgating us because we were watching the cop to see if his lights were going to come on. I had one cop tailgate me for 8 miles, we came to a crowded 4-way stop and when it was my turn I carefully went through and after I went around a turn I punched it while the cop was still waiting. Even though I never saw the cop car again, I was scared for about a month thinking everyday would be the day I would find the ticket waiting in the mailbox.

I'd bribe them if I had the money. I don't drive junky cars to make a political statement

when i lived in okinawa, it's a common practice to drink and drive...meaning driving while your drinking a beer! i had just gotten off of work and driving back home when i got pulled over for speeding. i had completely forgotten about the orion beer cans that were laying on the passenger seat floor and another one in my cup holder. the jp came over and started speaking japanese.....then looked over at the beers on the floor and the cup holder. he was silent for a second, then he said 'oh! beeru!' i don't know what i was thinking, but when he said that i reached over on the passenger seat, where i had a whole case of orion beer, and offered him a six pack. he then gave me a puzzled look and thats when i started thinking, oh $hit, what did i just do?! but then his puzzled face turned into a smile and he took it and started thanking me! he then let me go. yes, this is a true story, and no, i will never try it again, or advise anyone in trying it.

Speedo not working constantly (still need to fix that), no insurance, registration paper misplaced, going 6 over the limit without knowing it (hell, we were cruisin' along with everyone else)

All these thoughts running through my head while the cop is walking towards the car really makes last night's 151 feel like it's coming out the entrance. Luckily the cop was nice as all hell and let us off with a warning, didn't even ask for registration.
