A video response? Keeping it 'short' at 9+ minutes. I skimmed it. He responds to those asking what camera he's using. He responds to those who made negative assumptions. He has classes and had to reschedule his court date again. He says he'll post the date in comments or something because the date will come in a letter by mail. He supposes he does owe Jesda a cheesesteak and then questions their personal acquaintance (in the comments section). I'm still interested in the outcome, but this has definitely gone to the back burner of my mind for now.

Methinks he's trying to figure out how to backpedal all his chatter, considering it's not going as he anticipated.

I dont know what knowing him personally has to do with my reward.

Let's focus less on the traffic stop and more on my sandwich.

Good thread. Coming in at the end and reading everyone's comments is pure entertainment.

Things I took away from this. LEO was a prick. Any one of us does that we get a ticket. Could have caused an accident, maybe the guy swerves and runs over my kid. f*** him. f*** him all the way.

OP is a dumbass. If I have a few beers I don't drive closely behind a police car. Why? Because I'm not a f*** idiot. Illegal tint, missing f*** plates? You're driving around asking to be pulled over and then act all offended when the cop looks in his mirror sees you have no front plate and feels like you're driving in his personal "I'm awesome because I'm a LEO" bubble and gives you a brake check? Dude...smh.

I'm so glad I live in a state that doesn't do that front plate garbage.

Another update 6/16/16 from the original youtube video.

Code: Select all

UPDATE!: (6/16/16)
Well, my court June 13th appearance was uneventful for a few reasons. I am seeking a lawsuit against the city, and because of that, I will have to move the case to another city/courthouse because the judge and prosecutor have to be impartial and unbiased. I have a feeling it may be a while until something actually happens with this case. The next court date is scheduled for July 11th, but all that will happen is the announcement of the case moving to another city. Will keep everyone posted as soon as something happens. Additionally, I may create a facebook event, or twitter account specifically for this so that the updates can be quicker, AND I may possibly want to start protesting and rallying. Since the day this has happened, I haven't received an apology from anyone. Not the mayor, not the councilmen, not the police chief, not the police department, not the internal affairs. This cop tried to cause an accident. I haven't even heard a worth-while excuse for it yet. I know i'm not the only one who thinks that officers shouldn't try to get into accidents with people, as well as harassing citizens and provoking them into getting arrested...because of that, I am contemplating setting up a twitter account, as well as protesting (with banners, shirts, etc.) because something should be done in a reasonable amount of time. Perhaps if this made national news, something would be done quicker.

Any suggestions for protesting/rallying? What are your opinions?

--Omar B
The cop was a f*** dumb a** and this guy is a douche.

Um, I don't know, maybe he can do a flash mob protest. That seems popular on the internet these days. Get a bunch of bag pipers, gymnasts, people dancing, picket signs, etc. They gather in front of the police station, have those hidden cameras rolling and then he can propose to his sweetheart in style... wait, what is the goal here? I forgot! The thing is, you can't have pipers, gymnasts and public support without offering something in exchange... like a cheesesteak. And you can't be handing out cheesesteaks without first giving one to Jesda!

What exactly is the OP's lawsuit based on? Damage to the his vehicle, traumatic injury, hurt feelings?

While the LEO is facing harsh (and deserved) public scrutiny and is almost without a doubt getting reprimanded in private I'm missing where a suit from the OP has any merit.

I learned pretty much everything I needed to know about the OP when he mentions LEOs in other countries being trained to shoot in a non-lethal matter but couldn't cite any sources to back up his s*** claims.

I thought the exact same thing. I fail to see any damages he incurred. He hasn't even had his hearing yet, much less hear the results of the internal affairs investigation. Very disappointing if he's using the lawsuit for some kinda pay day.

If nothing else, he's getting a good look at the process - and hopefully is smart enough to recognize that they system isn't perfect, but it's staffed with 90% good people.

AND, knowing how to navigate the system is a skill worth learning (even if it's the hard way).

EDIT: Butthurt little millenials give me a damn migraine. I'd bet he didn't put this much effort into his education OR his employment.

And he better get off your lawn. ;) j/k. I sometimes have to remind myself how young millenials are. Part of the problem is that wisdom often comes later.

I just remembered this crap. had to go to his second video to find updates in the comments.

Code: Select all

Update (9/11/2016): Court last Friday (the 9th of September) was the first appearance in Paterson. The DVD of the second incident (The Zinburger incident) needs to be retrieved (a company needs to get a subpoena for it.) B/C of that, the judge ordered the next court appearance to be October 28th. I would think that all of the appearances from here on out should be eventful since court has finally been transferred, and we can focus on the actual case.

Code: Select all

(11/4/16) UPDATE: Well, court was last Friday. We made progress towards speaking about the case. However, it has just occurred that the company that owns the film of the second incident is reluctant to release it to us. The higher up management made several excuses, one being they saved the wrong date, and another saying that it was deleted. However, I personally spoke to a worker, and a supervisor, both of which said the DVR does not delete anything... based on my conversations with several people, including people in and out of the company, current and former, the company is corrupt in its management. At the end of the day, I wonder if this security firm has ties to the clifton police department, and in an attempt to protect 'special interests' they are purposely tampering with the evidence? As an IT guy, it would be nice to see if I can extract the data from the DVR myself which is possible if it really has been "Deleted." Nothing else at the moment. ---OB
Couldn't find anything as to what the second "incident" was...

Will this guy get his way in court?
How many licks does it take to get the the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
