Well, for those of you who play p0ker, or know about it:I was playing Hold'em tonight with my buddy Chris. He goes all in before the flop, I call himHe has 5 of spades, 3 of heartsI have Ace of diamonds, Ace of spades.I'll let the picture tell the rest, butI hit a royal flush. As far as I know, your odds of hitting a royal flush in p0ker are 1 in 649,740. I don't know if those odds are different in hold'em but I don't give a ****. I was so weird / amazing all at once. Here is the pic I snapped with my phone

Holy damn! I don't play hold 'em much, but a royal flush is impressive no matter what the game...too bad you weren't in Vegas...cha-ching!

Were you playing for cash or just for fun?

He went All In with a 3 - 5 off suit , you should hug his neck . I can't think of any sane person that would do that, and if he hadn't you should have never seen the the flop, much less the river. Unless you did a little rabbith hunting, but sitting on pocket rockets why would you have.

Congrats one of the best hands you'll ever see.

NH! I've made 3 straight flushes, quads twice (both times with ducks), but have yet to even SEE a royal flush. ROFL, 3-5 off trying to make a move on your rockets. AND he had to use the board after that river.

Rex: that IS the nicest hand he'll ever see!

Congratulations. I've only seen a royal flush 4 or 5 times, but then I've played a crapload of p0ker the past 4 years.

Oh, and Chris Moneymaker is a jerk. He lives in Leavenworth, KS, and goes up to Ameristar in Kansas City sometimes. He acts like he owns the place and loves to bully people; constantly raising before the flop with rags, check raising just to do it, etc. It's really annoying unless you're sitting on a boat and he catches his flush.

That's how a lot of newbs play. They call with ridiculously dumb hands. But it really catches up to them and inevitably lose a lotta moola.

Actually he is the one that went all in pre-flop. He did that to try and scare me off, but unfortunately I had the rockets. Then got the RF.Hes actually a really good p0ker player-We were playing for cash, but that game winning hand only got me even with what I started with :-\ Better than nothing

though he did end up with a flush. It can depend on how agressively and successfully he was playing to begin with. All in is perhaps a bit much, but what are the odds someone is holding a pocket pair of aces? Those are the swings of hold-em.

My best hand was a 4 of a kind. I held pocket 3's. Flopped the 4 of a kind. My friend bet high. He had made 3 of a kind at this point with his pocket face cards so he had a full house with the 2 3's showing. I called it. I suppose he figured I had 3 of a kind 3's. He went all in after the river. He got owned. It was beautiful.

Dude, that sucks. I guess I will have to mark him off. Still you have to like winning an internet p0ker tournement to get in to the World Series, and taking the bank.
