My car shows a PO507 code which is the Idle Air Control system. The revolution per minute is higher than expected. Got the code from and auto part for free, but same code every time I did it.
According to the dealership, the throttle body needs to be changed, which is a $400 extra than an IAC.
Is there's a way to clean the IAC and my engine light would go away? or do I have to change it?
Does anyone know why would the dealer get a different code or are they trying to change the throttle body and that would take care of everything? Engine light and IAC?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If its electronic TB most likely the IACV is built into the TB or rather the TB acts as the IACV therefor you need to change the whole thing.

Welcome to NICO!

P0507 is caused by the idle air control valve. Be sure the harness connector is securely connected and that there are no intake air leaks by ensuring the air filter is secured properly and hose clamps for the air intake tube are secure. Also measure voltage following the instructions if you can:
