PM's stuck in outbox?

This seems to happen to me all the time and it seems to be random, I send a pm and sometimes they just sit in my outbox and never get sent or it takes a really long time before it sends. What's the deal with this?

It is listed in your outbox until the recipient reads the message. Then it is considered sent. It's not a flaw with the system, just the person you are messaging hasn't read it yet.

It actually makes no sense. When you send a letter, it goes to someone else's letter box, it doesn't stay in the mail slot until they get a message to come get it...

WTF seriously. :bs:

You're right it really doesn't make logical sense but if that's how the system works then whatever at least its an explanation. Kinda confusing for the user when people are not used to that. Now if only this guy would reply to my messages

well now they show as sent so I guess he read them but didn't reply, perhaps because he texted/called me but I wouldn't know since my phone is broken

They show in your outbox until the recipient goes into his. That still does NOT mean it was read.
