what?

why wouldn't it be ok to drain something if you're going to replace it before you use it again?

Seriously?

If stuff drains out, replace it!

If you don't want it to leak out, don't point it down!

Your oil will completely drain out if you take the turbo feed and return lines off. Like, 100 percent.

Same with coolant.

Even though there's an oil pan, and a block/rad/overflow full of coolant, it will drain right out.

Please don't drain your system from your turbo lines.

Just remove the oil drain plug, and the plug on the bottom of your rad or something and let those drain for about 5 minutes.

Like, thats 100% wrong.

To OP. Draining the fluids before hand will save you some mess, although, the oil feed shouldnt leak all the oil from the block after removing the line from the block. It will seap some out, but not 100% or even close. After I swapped mine, I was about a 1/4 of a quart low, so...

When I swapped to my S/S lines and GT2871r, I didnt drain the fluids, although, after the turbo swap, I ended up changing the oil and coolant anyway, so, its up to you op.

Either drain the fluids during the removal, or before. If you are planning on all new oil and coolant, then drain prior to removal, just makes sense.
