JWT or PDM racing both have a good aftermarket cam, otherwise I think the best is 2 91 exhaust cams.

I heard that with the 91 exhaust cam and the Altima intake cam that gives the best HP increase.

yes.

all s13 cams are the same (240/248). just replace your intake cam with an exhaust cam and you'll have the same 248/248 setup offered by nissan motorsports.

Damn they deleted my account on FA as I havent posted on this or that board in forever :)

Rotating 4 teeth works good if done right, and you actually rotate it 4 teeth..... hahaha Ill never forget that night :)

Damn that remminds me I have an s13 motor in my garage..... May have to finally swap out my 248/232 to a 248/248 setup. That would be my fourth camset now.

Its only for the S14...

That long *** post on FA under *donotdelete* explaning the process is mine, the ones that dont have tim at the end. Youll notice the really long one says edited by 96_S14_SE...

I was just saying I just picked up an s13 motor and transmission thus I have another set of cams to play with (2 s13 cam sets and one s14 cam set). Ive been running that 248/232 setup since back then... Damn its been a year already, looking at the posted date.

Should be less then an hour to sawp the 248 exhaust cam in as I have the 248 on the intake side already.. Then I can finally put my new journal cap bolts in, as well.

hey demcj sry for resurecting this thread but i just got my s14 and these 232/232 cams are a slap in the face.. the powerband falls flat on its face after 5000ish..u say ALL s13 cams are 240/248, but on the freshalloy thread it says only early 93's are, and later 93's are 232/232 like the s14..

im about to get some 93 cams so i was just wondering if you could confirm that ALL 93's are 240/248 or just early ones,

TIA!

Max

that thread is old and has bad info...something as important as a cam change in the middle of a production year would've prompted nissan to produce a TSB, supplement, or something stating when and why it was done (prime example being the compression ratio change done mid '89 with the ka24e engine).

there's no such beast.

i've looked everywhere and asked everyone i know who works for nissan to find SOMETHING...and nothing has turned up. everything i've seen says that all S13s run the 240/248 setup. until i see otherwise, it's just another rumor that needs to die.
