this isnt something im gonna try or anything just a lil curious about using loopholes or what could be better.
btw i have searched but i havent really gotten any clear answers.
The whole purpose of a re-tuned ECU is so you don't need to use band-aid methods of tuning like just an S-AFC II, which IMHO is not the way to go about running a KA-T.
When you get a re-tuned ECU, it takes care of everything: injector size, mafs, timing maps, fuel maps, etc...
That being said, a lot of people use S-AFC IN CONJUNCTION WITH a tuned ECU to further "tune" the engine; in the case of the Jim Wolf Technology ECU (JWT), the tunes are notoriously conservative in both timing and fuel maps and quite a bit of power can be had using a piggy back controller like the S-AFC to lean things out a bit.
For ECUs like the Enthalpy one, an S-AFC is not necessary at all; it is already well-tuned enough and to YOUR individual modifications that you'll be making the max safe amount of power right out of the box....of course, even more power could be made by going to a fully stand-alone set up like AEM EMS, but that requires time, money (a lot more than a re-tuned ECU), and most importantly, KNOWLEDGE.
For the money, performance, and ease of use though, a re-tuned ECU like the Enthalpy can't be beat.
