Plugged power steering rack

has anyone here ever plugged the lines on their power steering system. i want a manual steering rack but i cant seem to find one to match up to my s13 and ive heard of people plugging their lines, taking their power steering belt off, or just removing their pump all together but i want my steering to still be functional for high speed manuevering cause i would like to take my car to the track once i get it all done. any tips or advice on what other people have done would be great
