plug ripped out! :-/

So yea, I noticed a little slack, and started to follow the wire to find out it's just a wire that ripped out of a boot, IDK where tho, it's a Gold and Black plug in the middle back of the engine... anyone know what this is to?

Also does anyone know the wire colors for the coils? When I took it apart I figured they were all different plugs, now putting it together I see that there can be many combitaions. Lable wires if you take them off!

Most likely you can just purchase a connector to said mysterious wire. Nissan carries pretty much all of them.

Once you have an idea of which one it is call a dealer, or conceptzperformance.com or courtesyparts.com and order it.

Some1 on TT.net said detination sensor, but I dont know where it leads off to? Anyone?

it definitely looks like the knock sensor but there are about 4 identical looking connections in the back of the motor near the sensor -- when i got my car there were three connectors not connected and a few not connected properly - I had to do a sensor relocation on mine because we coun't find the connector that the knock sensor connected too -- good luck

If it is knock sensor, the sensor is located on top of the center of the block under the lower plenum. It actually has a harness that is connected to detonation sensor runs up the back of the block and attached to the harness. It is actually a 2 prong connector. There are two other connectors that look similiar to it which are the two VDC sensor located on the rear portion of each head, primarily right behind the end of the intake cams.

If it is a 3 prong connector chances are it's an O2 sensor connector. But note that the coilpack connectors are also 3 prong connectors as well.
