I replaced my old spark plugs with NGK Plat. ones however my mechanic friend says that they are running to hot. I like a dumb*** listened to the man at autozone (I know, it's a lesson learned!) who said that they will run hotter but not where I would notice. The Chulton Manual said no to use Platinium plugs but the AutoZone man swore to them. Any help guys???

It is very simple. The manual said to not use them and the Autozone guy said to use them. I would go with the manual.

Now I know that you are supposed to use them on the 95's-98's. There is a sticker under the hood that tells you so. Look and see if you have a similar sticker. If not just take those plugs back to Autozone and tell them they sold you the wrong plugs and exchange them. Be sure to bring the manuak with you so you can prove they sold you the wrong plugs, that way you're not out any money.

Good luck.
