i was in the middle of my swap when i noticed that the sr compressor has a differnet plug shape then the ka compressor.. so i obviously can't use it. BUT i was also thinking that its only a one wire plug so can i just cut the plugs then solder the ka plug onto the sr compressor, that way i can use the sr compressor and plug it into the wiring harness that goes to the compressor?

That's how I'm doing mine.

Don't quote me on this, but I'd assume that the single wire is positive and that the compressor grounds itself through the block.

Yep it is just a +12v to turn the A/C compressor clutch on. Grounds through the motor/chassis.

we are all talking about the little single wire plug on the compressor that goes to the plug on the wiring harness on the driver's side fender well correct?

Yep. A/C clutch trigger. I had to extend the one on my SR harness to reach. Just a single wire black connector.

now thats weird cuz the plug i am referring to is part of A wiring harneees but not the main engine harness, its a part of the wiring that comes out from behind the diriver's headlight, along with the AIV plug

Don't use the SR harness one, use the KA one that comes from the drivers side engine bay harness. On S13 that is the way to go.
