Hello All.

I recently replaced my clutch with Stage 2 from ebay. Everything was put back in order but I noticed a softer pedal feel on the new clutch. I ignored it and bleed the system 10+ times. The feel still the same. I have not bypassed the damper yet. I can shift perfectly without any problem.

My car runs but the feel is like I'm still stepping on the clutch all the time. Is this slipping or the clutch is not engaging? What adjustment do I need to make? Pls help. Thanks.

the only thing that i can think of is to mess with the nut on the back of the clutch pedal it moves the cylinder on the other side in and out. that is how you adjust it. dont adjust it to much because then it wont grab all the way....also it could be the clutch you did say ebay....the pressure plate might be a piece of $#@$.

Well, you should bypass that dampener, you probably have air in your lines, I know you said you bled it 10X but that doesnt mean anything with that damn dampener box there, then if it still dont work, check your clutch master cyl. and your slave cyl.

There's a free play for about 1-3 inches. Slave and Master Cyl looks ok. No leaks and burning smell. I already have almost 500 miles on the new clutch.

To adjust the nut on the pedal, do I turn it going in or out the vaccuum booster/master cyl? Ebay clutch suck. My stock clutch is way better.

The dampener bypass, that's on my list.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll do those adjustments this weekend and let you know what's the outcome.

if you have some up and down play try turning it away from your master cyl.

I finally had the time to fix mine yesterday. Dampener has been bypassed and clutch pedal has been adjusted. The pedal still feels soft. I can still feel the delay on the clutch specially on high RPM (clutch engages smoothly but when I release the pedal, it feels like I'm still stepping on it). What more adjustments do I need to make? I also noticed a leak on the MC rod on the firewall. Fluid is coming out of the rubber (seal). Does this mean it's time to replace the MC? I appreciate all opinions. Thanks.

Did you touched the TO arm on the transmission housing?

Ohhh....I figured it out. Throwout Bearing or Release Bearing. I don't remember touching it. If I did, what will happen?

After bypassing the dampener, bleed a lot and adjusting the pedal, the clutch shown no improvement. Specially when i'm shifting at high rpm, when i release the pedal, the engine just revs up. It feels like a big time slipping. Do you have suggestions what to check before I bring the car to the shop? Thanks fellas.

Did you adjust the switch that the clutch pushes when it is all the way up? IDK the propper term for it. I had the same problem with my Exedy clutch after my SR install.

No I did not. Should the pedal rest on that switch when the pedal is depressed? I'll try to do that. Thanks.

No, the pedal rests on the switch when it isn't depressed. (up position) So when you press the clutch in it disengages the switch. The adjustment doesn't make any sense to me but it works. You just have to fool around with it.

Did you say that you saw fluid coming out the pushrod boot for the clutchmaster cylinder? If so you have to replace the clutch mc the primary seal is bad!!!

I finally got a chance to replace the MC and Slave. The repair took about an hour and a half. I spent lot of time to take out the bottom MC bolt. It took a lot of patience. MC was bench bled before install. Slave replacement was an effortless job. Soooo easy. After bleeding it several times, I finally got the car back on the street. Bleeding was so much easy without the damper. Took me 3 test drives and pedal adjustments, I am proud that I got what I wanted by doing it myself. Of course with all your help fellas. Many thanks.
