pliot bushing can it be installed backwards

can you install a pliot bushing backwards because i cant get the outpput shaft in it i also think it isnt the right one being that the alignment tool i had to use a lot of force to get in and that never happened to me before any help out there?????

you probably mushroomed the end of it when you installed it. you need to get another and try to use something that is the same diameter as the bushing it self to put it in. What I usually do is put the old one on my alignment tool then the new one and use the alignment tool to install the bushing. Though my alignment tool is a cut input shaft to a manual trans so it is metal. Your alignment tool may not be durable enough to be beat on installing the bushing.

a socket of the same size also works well, just make sure it has a warranty incase u break it
