yeha these guys sound reputible

quote from website:

By exchanging your window from glass to acrylic, you can make your car alot more lighter in weight. This is another great way to make your car a safe and lightest way as possible for racing.

yes. but you can also clean the scratches much easier with plexi/acrilyc.

What's the weight savings over the standard glass? Also, how much more do they cost than the standard glass?

most of the lexan/acrylic/generally not glass windows ive seen bolt on, or bolt in. But you cannot use the power windows, or crank windows with them. Also are these gonna warp with heat? i had lexan in my basement in the sun for like a day straight andf it warped. Also my buddies hand for lexan with heat guns (BLOWDRIERS) So could anyone hold a lighter to my window and they would be toast?thanksChris

Properly treated Lexan isn't affected by much of anything, its what they make bulletproof glass with ( ie what all the windows in my shop will be made of ) they can even do this really cool flexible/brittle mesh that stops bullets from only one side, so you can shoot back but they can't shoot you, hehehehehe.

I'll get any composite/polycarbonate material I cang et my scrubby little hands on!

less weight=better(to an extent).

either way, Im not going to do my door windows, because the visibility might be compromised, etcc, but the rear half(hatch, 1.4 windows) will be getting done.

ya bulletproof lexan is like 2-3 inches thick, correct me if im wrong. ive replaced my garage window with it, and tried to make a sub box. it flexes ALOT. It has to be thick to be bullet proof. anyways. ya i would like to see it work in power window for sure im just saying not likely
