Which G-series: 2005 G35 6MT Coupe

Type: Plenum Spacer

Brand: Blox

Models: Only one available. 5/8" Thermal Polymer.

Pros: When installing the spacer, I found that my plenum was very dirty, so my wife cleaned that while I installed the spacer. The combination of the spacer and cleaning resulted in a much cleaner throttle response with better power. I probably should have reset my ECU for comparison purposes, but I didn't until recently.

Cons: I'm too lazy to reinstall the engine cover

Bought at/Price: Custom Creations (Riverside, CA) $110 out the door (with heavy arguing and negotiation).

Comments: Per my conversation with the tech support, DO NOT apply RTV silicone or any other gasket making substance to the spacer. The thermal polymer will seat itself once it heat cycles. Plus it's somewhat flexible and makes a good seal. Also, because of the flexibility, the holes may not line up with the plenum. Just tweak the spacer a little hear and there before you tighten all of the bolts.

Supposedly this mod for my MY is best coupled with the MREV2 lower plenum which is actually a modified AT lower plenum.

Models: VQ35DE

Pros: Increased volume of air. 50 Degrees cooler then stock plenum. Power Gains.

Bought at/Price: $300

Comments: Easy to install with simple hand tools. Throttle body can be a pain.

Which G-series: 07 Coupe 6MT

Type:

Brand: Motordyne

Models: 5/16

Pros: More power

Cons: Use more gas because I'm addicted to the increased power

Bought at/Price: $260.00

Comments: Great mod... but works better when coupled with the MREV. By itself, there would probably be no noticeable power increase.

Brand: BLOX

Models: 5/8"

Pros: Sound/Power/Cost/easy install, faster rev

Which G-series: 2005 G35 6MT

Type: 5/16" Plenum Spacer, mREV Lower Collector

Brand: Motordyne

Models: 5/16"

Pros: Well first off, it actually quieted my car down, but I already had a few mods going. I noticed a nice pickup in the lower rpm range and higher pull after 4k. Clean look and a nice setup, power gains were noticable and surely quieter

Cons: None that I had, no modification was necessary, the Copper TB setup was a pain in the butt, but yay for MN :oP

Bought at/Price: Spacer was from Riverside Infiniti $300ish(g35driver.com) and Lower collector was from MD, standard $400 price.

Comments: Currently I'm running an Injen CAI, the spacer and lower collector, UR Pullies, Kinetix HFC and Injen SES exhaust, but I do have some sound clips of after mREV and before http://www.youtube.com/user/ackilles85 . This is the first manual I've learned to drive and this year was my first year driving it so be nice

Which G-series: 2005 G35X

Type: 5/16" Plenum Spacer

Brand: Motordyne

Models: 5/16th basic

Pros: Relatively easy install, improves low and mid range (after 4k rpm) pull, great new sound after 4k rpms

Cons: must use a torque wrench to install, and has like 18 bolts that need to be installed in the right order, not hard a hard install, but just not for the impatient

Bought at/Price: $200

Comments: if you have $200 to spend on an intake... get this first

Which G-series: 2003 Sedan (fits 2003-2006 coupe/sedan)

Type: Plenum spacer

Brand: Motordyne

Models: 1/2" Copper Iso Thermal

Pros: Better gas mileage, sound, 4 whp/4 tq more than BLOX

Cons: cost $295 new I think

Bought at/Price: $180 ( new copper iso and used 1/2")

Comments: I changed from the Blox 5/8" spacer to the Motordyne 1/2" while I was at the dyno. I gained 4 HP and 4 TQ to the wheels. It was enough info for me to stick with Motordyne. I also bought the Copper TB bypass with the aramid gasket.

Brand: Home Brew

Models: Polished, machined lower collector, port matched (MREV2)

Pros: Better everything

Cons: none.

Bought at/Price: $300

Comments: Much better response at lower rpms and 4000+ rpms. Better power, but leaned me out. Needed to adjust the tune.
