Hello,

Today I successfully replaced KS on my 95 Q45. The only casualty was the vacuum hose that runs from the back of the plenum to a union (and then on to the brake booster). Without boost, stopping my Q is like trying to stop a freight train! Any suggestions for a replacement?

I am in Michigan.

Thanks!

Order them from a dealer, or one an online source like www.orderinfinitiparts.com. You could rig something from parts store hose - but I would feel better with the OEM part for something as critical as stopping.

Also, that's a one-way hose, isn't it? It is on my y33, pretty sure, installed it backwards and brakes were messed up once.

paranoidjack,

The union the broken hose butts up to is the check valve on my Q, so no drawkab worries, but thanks for the words of caution.

Heath,

I'll make some calls tomorrow for the part. Might try two straights and a 90* if I can't get OE by Friday.

Thanks for the replies.
I plan to replace O2s tomorrow and you've helped ensure the Q is purring before date night! :-).
