Well, it seems like somebody is/has decided to build a condominium in the valley........under my plenum!!!!! Bastards didnt even sign a lease or purchase agreement!!!!! My home inspection revealed the debris like leaves,etc being aranged so neatly among the exposed plumbing!!!!

not sure if it is under construction, or already foreclosed on and empty!!! Any ideas how to prevent squatters rights once I blast out the valley with the air hose at the gas station tomorrow?

Keep a cat in your garage.

I wonder if rodent/rat poison would become dangerous to the driver once heated?

If parked for long periods a Boa will suffice. Given you know how to retrieved said Boa before driving said car.

Would dropping a few mothballs into the valley deter the critters? The cat is the princess, only sitting on the good furniture and never wonders out, heaven forbid her little feet get cold or dirty!!! And she is a Bengal, a wild hybrid bred of leopard and domestic cat.

Engine shield that covers the bottom of the engine area should solve that.

Just lay down some model railroad track all the way around the car and connect it up to a 80KV Tesla coil.

Yeah but ninja rats will just do a flying somersault right over it. Even Master Splinter can't defeat rat poison. Plus I just want to see arsenic in a VH45 valley real bad...

Can't as arsenic is reactive with aluminum.

80KV has quite a jumping distance.

Dropped a few mothballs into the valley to deter mice from returning- if that doesnt do it, the peppermint altoids get lowered into the area{ internet search says mice hate the smell of peppermint}

If they make it to round three, in go the crushed up Habanero peppers!!!!

Still trying to figure out how to get all the leaves/nesting material out of the valley.

Vacuum!

Dried crushed habanero should do it. I'll tell you how to dry if you need help.

Did you check for entrance areas that the mice may be slithering in?

Even with the under engine shield installed, there is TONS of open area under the engine compartment that mice can use to crawl into the engine compartment. My guess is most of the crap many find between the radiator and condensor is also introduced by mice and used for nesting.
