A couple times a week my 96' 200 SX-R won't start. Then, after several minutes of turning the key, pushing the clutch, and shaking the stearing wheel, it starts. It seems to happen most often after the vehicle sits. I thought it might be the clutch sensor because the clutch has about 120,000 miles on it. But, I think something else is going on. Any ideas?

When I turn the key, the only sound I hear is the electronics (radio, door alarm, etc.) coming on. The starter does not turn. However, after several attempts, suddenly it fires up.

is your floor mat possibly bunched up under the clutch pedal?

I've been thinking the starter solenoid could be the problem. I will check out the solenoid switch theory a little more. I've already ruled out the floor mat issue. Thanks for all the help.
