Ok so im am buying a Z-Tube and Pop Charger, B&M Shortshifter for my b-day in 5 days and im looking into getting a spacer and pleneum. But I have a few questions on the last two, mainly because I have a non-rev motor and not sure if the money is worth the gain at this point. What size spacer and what pleneum should I get that will increase the power output of my non-rev...and help would be great

K well i just order my Ztube and charger, but still no response on here... i see people looking but no answers lol, i read somewhere that the 5/16 spacer and a pleneum(sp) require a ECU flash due to them leaning out.... if thats true what about just the 5/16 what kinds of gains will i see... everything i see is for the rev motor and it kinda worries me lol

i'll save you the trouble of trolling through these forums for hours. i was researching the plenum spacer, as well. i just installed the 5/16 this week. i installed my Stillen CAI about 2-3 weeks ago. anyone stop me if i'm wrong.

1. the 5/16 will get you get you more HP at higher RPM. the 1/2 spacer will get you more HP at a lower RPM but tapers off at the high end AND you'll have a little trouble closing the hood.

2. you DON'T need an ecu flash if you install just the spacer. not sure about the plenum replacement.

3. with a non-rev engine (like mine) you would only install the spacer and not the plenum replacement. the spacer will give you the HP gain but the 2 together will not. the replacement and spacer combo really only benefits the revup engines. don't ask me why.

get the motordyne 5/16 spacer. the install is fairly easy. they were not specific when it came to the bolts, though. you'll get a bunch of new ones and you have to kind of guess where some of them go.

i noticed a decent increase mainly over 4000 rpms. it makes a nice hissing sound, too. i hope it's supposed to do that. it really shines at high revs FUN!

in short, get the 5/16 spacer. don't get the replacement (mrev2).

for me, the Stillen exhaust is next. WOOHOO!

k and last question. I went to order for EverythingG35 and its got the normal spacer and a copper and normal ISO spacer... whats the main difference, it says use the copper if it EVER snows... but isnt that everywhere lol, i live in Maryland on the eastern shore and it snows, but im orginally from TX and it occasionally snows there too lol, so yea last question then i will just order lol. what did you get?

i just got the the 5/16 basic spacer. Both the ISO thermal and copper spacers reduce heat transfer. i believe the ISO thermal spacer is better for warmer climates. the copper one is better for cooler areas.

TX - ISO thermal

MD - Copper ISO thermal

i feel the basic one is fine, though.... cheaper, too.
