I HAVE A 97 240 WITH A SR20 W/ V V T I HAVE 2MAFS BOTH FOR THIS MOTOR,THE ECU IS CODE NA WIRING WAS DONE BY YURI AT WIRIRNG SPECIALTIES.THE PROBLEM IM HAVINGB IS THE CAR IDELS FINE BUT WILL NOT REV PAST 2000 RPM ,IT DOENS SPUTTER OR BUCK ,I CAN FLOOR THE PEDAL BUT NO RESPONSE PAST 2000.THIS ENGNE HAS NEVER SEEN THE ROAD SINCE I GOT IT.IT WAS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED BY A SHOP HERE IN SAN ANTONIO.I PULLED IT FROM THEM AFTER IT TOOK A YEAR FOR THEM TO GET THIS FAR.THEY OBVIOSLY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING BUT NOW IM STUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM AND I DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO FROM HERE.CAN I TAKE THIS TO A SHOP THAT HAS A CONSULT AND HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE IT OR WILL THEY NOT WORK ON IT BECAUSE THE CAR DID NOT COME WITH THIS MOTOR.also my reverse lights dont work and my scanner cannot communicate with the computer.CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A SHOP IN SAN ANTONIO THAT CAN DO THIS KIND OF WORK.I WORK LONG HOURS AND CANT EASILY WORK ON THE CAR.PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME.YES I AM BEGGING.ANDREW [email protected]

Sounds like MAFs are bad or the wiring isnt right. Get a FSM and check all the voltages.

Im not a big fan of Yuri since Ive had problems with my harness and he didnt offer me much help.

sounds like it's running in safe mode which is indicitave of a MAFS issue.

im not a fan of Yuri either, i was trying to get some clarification on my s14 harness from him and he basically said i'm not gonna help you unless you send it to me. hell i build high impact,reliability, abrasion and emi resistant harnesses in the marine corp for a number of jets and helicopters, i don't need him to build my harness, i just needed a small amount of help from him. he was pretty much a prick to me so in the politest manner i know how i told him he could fornicate himself

i though all s14sr's used the wc ecu, i could be way off though

the reason your scanner doesn't work is probably the wiring. alot of the people who do wiring do not wire in the wires for the consult port.

i do realize mafs is off,i was switching them out ,i have two i purchased,both are used.
