Titles are what people look at when they decide to read into a topic or not. It does the poster and the readers on this forum a disservice when you use an undescriptive title that gives no information about what is inside your post. Do some people just not understand this? Maybe they're telepathic or something but I'd be willing to bet most of us are not, so please use descriptive topic titles!!!

Examples of utterly useless topic titles:

is it possible to...has anyone tried thiswhen im racing... I know it's been asked before, but... someone help fast A very sad question.Need help...240sx nismodoes anybody know???should i worry if i broke this?Minor Technicalities...Problem SOLVED!Car went retarded over night, please help!HELP.. Obviously people read the topics....... because if you look at those you just listed i believe they all have replies (i didnt bother checking). Oh, and by the way, EVERYONE USE NON-DESCRIPTIVE TOPIC TITLES!That way we can keep the suspense around here, otherwise, whats the fun if you already know what the thread will contain. I can tell you were one of those kids who snuck around and found every christmas present ahead of time. Cant deal with the SUPRISE. Now, Everyone chant with me.... NON-DESCRIPTIVE, NON-DESCRIPTIVE, NON-DESCRIPTIVE, NON-DESCRIPTIVE, NON-DESCRIPTIVE!

I believe Mike has a good point!

Non descriptive titles are ok in General forums of our site, but in "Technical and in "Nissan Online Mechanic" sub-forums I like to see descriptive titles.

Fred..

Having a good discription in the title is a big plus in my opinion. Helps focus your attention to topics you know, or want to learn more about instead of having to sift thru a buch of "OMG I need anwsere now!" or "Help!" posts

I try to use a descriptive title, but sometimes, I just don't know what to say exactly, or I am in a hurry and I just say what comes to mind first without thinking about it.

I try to be creative in my titles so ppl will click. If i try being descriptive, some will just dismiss it ( i know I do sometimes). So i'll stick to the suspense...

You have the IQ of a walnut. Do understand that the search function goes to the usefulness of nil using you idiot descriptions? Maybe we should have a special forum for his kind. The "SURPRISE!" forum.

I've found that there are many times when searching through "Post Bodies" instead of just "Topic Titles" provides much more relevant results.

And I'm sure 2s4x0 was just kidding around, keep it light and don't get so offensive.

Please don't criticize other people without first checking your own grammar Cheung.

Sometimes that's how we run into the problem in the first place .
