Well first things first i attempted to replace a head gasket on my ka24de on my own. Having some experience under the hood so i felt confident on doing it myself. I was able to dissassemble my engine, but reassembling is getting to be a blood boiling experience. I don't know if i f'd up my my cam seats but i shall take some pics to give you an idea of my ignorance. I didnt realize that the socket i was using to tightin the headbolts was rubbing up against my cam seats pushing up metal. How do fix it properly without removing the head. I also f 'ed god knows how many hoses and sensors and for some reason the freaking upper time chain cover isn't fitting. Ive lost to many bolts and i am getting very close to giving up and save up for a ca18 and having a pro install it for me.

Maybe i am just having a bad day and should attempt working on it later in the week but i am feeling very low and am getting sick and tired of my screw ups.

Take a picture of the cam seats, if it's too mauled it may not be usable...

I know the feeling though, I had to replace my headgasket with my dad and I've never done it before. We all took it at a slow and steady pace.Don't get too boiled, just take the time to calm down and try again, working on a car while angry isn't always the best thing.
