Okay long story short, my mechanic and i have been in the process of building my KA for KA-T for the past 3 months.....dont ask why so long. Well either way i asked what over bore he got on the Wiseco pistons and he said .060 He said thats why he liked the Wisecos over the other brands that and the coatings that they come with but anyhow im thinking .060?????? Ive never heard of this being done on any of the KA's on here. Is that even accomplishable???? I read everyone doing .020 and maybe .040 never have i heard .060. If anyone has any input on this PLEASE let me know. Ive gone through even bull sh@t these past 3 months that if i tell my guy he is fool of d!ck it aint gonna matter to me that it takes longer for my motor to be done. Thanks guys

Don't go .060"

IMO, .020" is about as far as I would go. Some people go .040" and it works fine, but I like to have the material there for integrity..

The bigger you bore your cylinders out the greater chances you have of warping your block. Plus the Hp gain that .40/.60 over is going to give you isnt that much, and for the risk your taking, its not worth it IMO. Also, if you go with .20 over you have a wide range of pistons to chose from, way more than .60. I would stay with .20, you wont ever regret it.

What are your HP goals?

If it was me Id say Fwak it and do .060 over just to be different.

If your going over 700rwhp you will still need something to strength the block anyways.

Ivan from AMS from what I remember cracked one of his cylinder walls above 700 anyways.

Well thats the thing, they are already ordered. I thought that they were gonna be .020 but when i asked he said that he ordered them .060 from Wiseco. So the thing that im debating right now is whether or not i need to order another set of pistons that are .020 over and try to see what i can do with these or go ahead and put them in. From some of the responses that i have gotten it doesnt seem HORRIBLE just not what is used commonly like .020 over so im thinking F*CK IT and just do it. Ive gone through to much crap right now to just turn away.

The way that im building it ive read that this motor will be good for 500+ HP. But in reality i want like 300-400. Thanks for the input fellas.
