I'm new here, just bought my 2010 3.5SR near the end of December. Already last weekend I was rear ended. I was stopped in a left turn lane at a red light and some guy in a Mazda truck just came barreling into me. Luckily nobody was hurt, but he did over $4000 in damage to my AC. He had insurance so he's still breathing and still has his knee caps.

Here's a few pics I shot with my iphone:

I know how you feel, I got rear ended by a ram 3500 at about ten months of ownership; probably would have been a total loss if the airbags had deployed.

Thankfully your OK. The car will get fixed.

damn that sucks on a 2010 man....

look at the bright side though, if there's no frame damage, the rear can be fixed no problem. Front end collisions, even after getting fixed, the car never runs the same...

Ugh, sorry to hear that man!

Didn't you hear though? Our coupes seem to have an unnatural propensity to small fender benders like this... I feel this is something that Nissan should include in all their brochures.

Well I dropped it off yesterday at the body shop. They gave me a rental, but it's a 4 cylinder 4 door Altima with 0 options that looks like it had a cat living in it...

They said it looked like Friday might be the goal for finishing the repair. I got a call about an hour ago from them, they found a ton more hidden damage after removing the body panels. Original estimate was $4000, now looking more like $6500. So I'm stuck in this crappy rental for over a week and a half...fml.

Dude I know the feeling. Back when I had my SE-R Spec V, I hadn't even put the plates on it yet and someone rear ended me in their 2002 Grand Am.

Worst part of it all was I was in the far right lane at the second light (there were two lights very close together). It was raining and I had two open lanes to my left with NO CARS in them. This person decided to gun it through the first light and try and stop WITHOUT CHANGING LANES. I clutched into first because I saw them coming and had my foot off the brake and they knocked me across the intersection. $4k in damage on a Sentra that I took delivery on 10 days prior. I had just gotten my hard copies of my insurance cards that morning.

Even worse was the feeling I got when the doors of the Grand Am opened up to reveal four guests that appeared on the previous night's episode of Jerry Springer. I was like "great, these effers don't have insurance bc they were fighting over child support last night". Luckily, a cop saw the whole thing happen and they did actually have insurance. It was even more hilarious when baby's momma tried to act like it was my fault for stopping at a red light. I wanted to punch her, her crackhead friend, and their two f-buddies for the night in their faces. (Her friend was seriously tripped out... she stayed in the car after the cop walked up to the scene).

I can't stand it when people drive like idiots.

Haha, glad to hear it at least worked out for you. I got hit right on the border of the inner city in Milwaukee, renowned for having drivers without insurance, but I got lucky...ummm...I guess...

that sucks! sorry to hear about your brand new coupe! at least he had insurance.

if i was a betting man, i figure they just didn't like that kayser motor group badge underneath the ALTIMA. if you woulda debadged that this could have all been prevented.

Yea either he didn't like the Kayser badge or just thought my car would look better with a white Mazda Pickup glued to the rear end.

Glad you are safe, but I can just imagine how you felt when he plowed into you...about to go ballistic! That has to be the biggest fear, getting hit by someone with no ins or a hit & run.....especially if you put alot of money into mods. My insurance company will only pay up to $600 in aftermarket parts....that almost covers the cost of 2 of my XXR 006 Wheels and Cooper Zeon Sport tires.....whoopee!
