Hello Everyone,

Ive been on this website for almost a year and I loved all the info and advices from all the experts out there. BUT I could not find an answere to my question and I have been researching for almost a week!

I have a 08 A/C 2.5 CVT. I bought 19X8.5 moda MD2 (offset = 45) with 245/40/19 Eagle GTR.

I want to drop my car with the Eibach Prokit and I wanted to get 25mm iChiba hubcentric spacers.

Now I have 2 questions:1st. If I get the 25mm hubcentric spacers with my current setup will my tire rub after a drop?

2nd.I have a sound system that I installed myself. I have 2, 10" subs in a heavy custom made box with 2 amplifires and s**t load of wires in my trunk. For that reason, my car looks already lowered in the back. So I was wondering if it would have been okay for me to just lower the front and keep the current springs in the back?

1) with a 8.5" rim +45 offset would work on its own fairly nice but not completely flush. IF you used the spacers, your tires would stick out like 1/2". also with that high of offset, you would probably be getting pretty close to rubbing on the inside - im sure some one will confirm here shortly.

2) you need to install BOTH front and rear eibach springs for the following reasons:a) everyone and their grandmother would harsh rag on you if you didntb) the drop is .8" and the spring rates are higher than stock - meaning with the same weight in the trunk, you would likely not sag as much as now on the stock springsc) the performance of your suspension would be junk and might be dangerous at times - is that worth compromising ???

1. No you won't rub, but you tires will stick out of from your fender a little bit though.

2. No, go with the whole kit. Your rear end won't be as tight as the font if you just lower the front. The springs will lower the rear about a inch, but they will be stronger than the original springs, so they will support the speaker system about the same height

Just installed Friday…. Volk GTS 19x8.5 +34 offset (style B face) all around with 245/40-19's.

With the Eibach drop it looks so close but no rubbing anywhere and I even drove a few friends home from the air post Saturday, trunk loaded up, girlfriend in the front with two adults in back. If it was going to rub trust me it would have. Will be posting pictures very soon. Just have to take the time to snap a few shots. This has to be the gtting close to the limits before rolling is needed.

Thanks for your responses. Im def gonna go with the whole kit and and Ill get the 25mm spacers. Ive always loved the way racing cars look because thir tire is sticking out a bit. I just have to hope it wont run and if it did Ill just take the spacers out. Anymore hints??

How close is +34 to the wheel well edge? If your tire is anywhere under or outside of the wheel well edge you will eventually rub. It won't be bad unless you take a speed bump at 45mph or whatnot, but you will rub. Just an FYI.

My +30 offset sticks my tires out right under the edge of the wheel well. I'm guessing your wheels tuck right under and clear the edge with your +34... if so you'll be fine.

To b_moradi7: DO NOT get those tires and wheels. YOU WILL RUB. You have been warned. Go with 235's and you'll be fine. 245's rub slightly in the back over large bumps. If you really want the 245s, don't install the 25mm spacers and leave your wheels with the +45 offset (perfect offset to keep the wheel in the well).

^ I know I'll be fine with a ton of research before buying them.

The 19x8.5 +45 with the 245/40-19 tire will work just fine with the topic posted but not with a 25mm spacer. It'll be a solid 1/2" past the fender. Get a 10mm spacer and it'll be money.
